DIAGNOSTIC TOOL / 06Calibrate the signal. Keep the hardware safe.
Set a temporary browser-side center reference, then verify that your sticks return to center and reach a consistent range.
Run this test → WHAT IT CHECKSMeasure the signal, not the guess
A read-only gamepad calibration test for center offset, drift, jitter and analog stick range. It uses the browser Gamepad API and does not write to your controller.
- Temporary left and right stick center reference
- Center offset, deadzone and jitter signals
- Full-range circularity check
- Read-only browser diagnostics
HOW TO GET A CLEAN RESULTTest conditions matter
Use a wired connection when possible, close other controller software, and press a button after the device is connected.
- Use USB when comparing calibration results.
- Keep both sticks untouched while setting the center.
- A persistent drift after calibration usually indicates hardware wear.
- PS4/PS5 HID write-back tools are separate and device-specific.
Privacy by design: input data is read and processed locally by your browser. It is not uploaded to a server.
REFERENCE SITE DIFFERENCERead-only by design
Some PS4 and PS5 calibration utilities can write device-specific values through WebHID. That is powerful but hardware-specific and carries a recovery risk if interrupted. This tester keeps the calibration reference local to the page.
WHAT TO DO NEXTDiagnose before replacing
If the stick is stable after a fresh center reference, the issue may be a software offset. If it still reports movement while untouched, cleaning or replacing the analog module may be necessary.
