Browser-side diagnostic only. Connect the controller in your operating system first; this page cannot pair Bluetooth or install drivers. Results depend on the browser, operating system, connection and controller mapping.

WHAT IT CHECKS

Measure the signal, not the guess

Check a PS5 controller's face buttons, D-pad, sticks, triggers and browser-supported haptic feedback before you play or buy used.

  • Cross, circle, square and triangle
  • D-pad, shoulder buttons and sticks
  • L2 / R2 analog trigger travel
  • Browser-supported rumble output
HOW TO GET A CLEAN RESULT

Test conditions matter

Use a wired connection when possible, close other controller software, and press a button after the device is connected.

  • Try USB for the most predictable mapping.
  • Press a button after connecting over Bluetooth.
  • Compare the visible name with the raw API mapping.
Privacy by design: input data is read and processed locally by your browser. It is not uploaded to a server.
FAQ

Questions about this test

Why is my PS5 controller shown as a generic gamepad?+

Browsers receive a standardized gamepad mapping from the operating system. The visible name and button labels can differ between USB, Bluetooth, Windows and macOS.

Can I test the PS5 touchpad here?+

Touchpad and advanced DualSense features are not consistently available through the standard Gamepad API. The tester focuses on buttons, axes, triggers and supported rumble.
