Left, middle, right, back and forward each have a cell. A dark cell after a press means the browser did not see that button.

This mouse button test reports browser pointer events. A hardware double-click fault belongs on the mouse double click test. Click speed belongs on click-speed-test.net.

WHAT IT CHECKS

Buttons, not DPI and not CPS

A mouse button test answers whether left, right and extra buttons still fire. It does not estimate DPI and it does not count clicks per second.

  • Left, middle and right buttons
  • Back and forward where the browser exposes them
  • Local-only counts that reset with the page
WHAT TO OPEN NEXT

Keep device tests on this domain

If one click becomes two events, open the mouse double click test. If you want travel distance, use the mouse DPI test. Hand speed stays on the CPS site.

Privacy by design: pointer events stay in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
FAQ

Questions about this test

Which mouse buttons can this test?+

The page listens for standard pointer buttons: left, middle, right, back and forward. Extra vendor buttons only appear if the browser exposes them as those codes.

Is this the same as a mouse click tester for CPS?+

No. This mouse button test checks whether a button fires at all. Click speed belongs on the CPS Test site, not here.

Why does the right-click menu appear?+

The test surface blocks the context menu so a right-button check can finish. Elsewhere on the page the browser menu still works.
